Water Rates & Policies

The City of Tehama water is metered and is read electronically.  Bills are sent at the end of each month. Bills are due by the 15th of each month.  A late notice is sent out on the 16th with a $10 charge  added for late payment.  If it is necessary to notify of a possible shut off for nonpayment, a tag is hung at the residence and an additional $15 charge is added to bill.  Currently the base rate is $44.15.  There is an additional charge  of $.063 for each 1000 gallons over the base. 

Meter boxes are located in the city right-of-way.  Access to meter boxes is for city use only.  Residents should have separate shut-off valves located on their properties.
